Why Choose HomeLink®?
Why should you add HomeLink® to your Chevy vehicle? Check out some key benefits that Lawrenceville and Suwanee drivers can enjoy with HomeLink®:
Simplicity: Connecting HomeLink® to your home or its appliances only takes a few minutes and involves little more than pressing a few buttons.
Breadth of Compatibility: HomeLink® is compatible with multiple home systems, including your garage doors, automatic gates, security systems, interior and exterior lights, and more.
Connect Up to 3 Devices: Choose up to 3 of your most frequently used home systems to connect to HomeLink®.
Safety & Security: In the event that you accidentally leave your garage door open when you leave for Johns Creek, HomeLink® will alert you. You can also use it for remote access and control over your security system, interior and exterior lights, and more. If you’re coming home alone or letting your teen driver borrow the car for the night, HomeLink® makes it easy to plan a safe departure and arrival.
No Charging or Batteries Required: HomeLink® runs on your vehicle’s electrical system, so there’s no need to keep up with charging the system yourself or changing batteries.
HomeLink® Garage Door Programming Instructions
Syncing HomeLink® to your garage doors couldn’t be easier! Here’s how:
Locate your 3 main HomeLink® buttons – they’re usually situated right above your center console on the ceiling of your car. Press and hold the first and third buttons, waiting for the interior lights to start flashing – this might take 20 seconds or so. Note: after this initial programming sequence, the action of pressing the first and third button will act as the master reset, so you will not need to do it again when you program subsequent devices.
Once your interiors are flashing, press and hold the button you want to program your garage door with. At the same time, press and hold the open/close button on your garage door remote. The interiors should switch from slow to rapid flashing, showing you that the programming is now complete.
At this point, you may walk into your garage. On the main unit for the garage door opener, press the “learn” button.
Walk back to your vehicle and press the button you just programmed for at least two seconds to test the garage door. If the light on the garage door motor flashes for a couple of seconds before responding, it just means it is connecting.
