Tony Stewart wins Nationwide race at Daytona

Just a few hours after launching a blistering attack against Goodyear for the tires it brought to Daytona, Tony Stewart drove the company’s tires to victory in a Hendrick Motorsports car in Saturday’s Nationwide race.Stewart had to fend off Kyle Busch on the last lap. Busch got right on Stewart’s bumper to try to loosen him up and lift his rear wheels off the track, but Stewart held it together.

“If I had spun or crashed I was gonna have to have it out with him,” Stewart said.

It was a similar move to the one Busch tried in Friday’s truck series race, a point noted by Clint Bowyer.

“He did the same thing and it didn’t work again,” Bowyer said.

Carl Edwards and Bowyer drove by Busch at the stripe to take second and third place. Busch was fourth, followed by Greg Biffle.
