Rick Hendrick Chevrolet is proud to partner with Hugs for Soldiers, a local non profit organization sponsored by Duluth First United Methodist Church, whose mission is to collect and send our troops in Afganistan packages containing shampoo, toothpaste, gum, candy, batteries, books, and a lot of things we take for granted. In Afganistan, there are no base exchanges, no stores or supply outlets for our men and women to obtain these items. Hugs for Soldiers works diligently to pack and ship these items, along with cards and letters of support, to these brave men and women. Angie Doerlich started Hugs for Soldiers in 2003 and came to speak and thank our employees for their support.
